Our History

The founder, Robert Jarvis was the son of the last miller in High Wycombe.

Pann Mill, now a museum run by Wycombe DC, is situated on the Rye by the junction of abbey Way & London Road.

The present factory was built over the site of a canteen used by munitions workers during the last war and in those days we specialised in making pulleys by the thousand. The advent of electro switchgear destroyed that market, and in a way that has been repeated many times over the years, as we diversified into other segments of engineering.

Robert was a great model maker & made several beam engines, one of which can be seen in the Trevithic Society Museum, in Cornwall.

His son, Bill, now runs the business after very many years learning the job, and is an accomplished engineering problem solver.
